Professor Sunghoon Kim of the Seoul National University has recently been awarded the Ho-Am Prize for Medicine. He is the volume editor of “Aminoacyl-tRNA Synthethases in Biology and Medicine”, published in the Springer series “Topics in Current Chemistry” (http://bit.ly/TopCurrChem).
The Ho-Am Prize was established in 1990 by Chairman Kun-Hee Lee of Samsung. It is awarded annually to outstanding researchers of Korean heritage around the world who have made important contributions to the advancement of science. The 2015 Laureate for Science is Professor Jinwoo Cheon of Yonsei University (Seoul, Republic of Korea), the 2015 Laureate for Engineering is Professor Chang-Jin Km, University of California Los Angeles (CA, USA). Both laureates are Springer authors as well.
